Whether it’s making tens of thousands of copies for teachers to send home with students during distance learning, coordinating materials pick up, working with community sponsors to offer extracurricular activities to our students, or providing the most up-to-date information on school reopening, the Webster PTA continues to support our teachers, staff, and families as we navigate this difficult year.
Over the summer, the PTA partnered with Malibu Elementary’s PTA to collect donations and secure funding for our classroom aides and technology programs. We are forever grateful to the Malibu Foundation for bridging our fundraising gap and allowing us to continue to provide these programs for our students.
The PTA provides Webster students with programs above and beyond what the district provides. The funding for these programs is raised by the PTA through parent donations, community sponsorships, and fundraising events hosted throughout the year. Webster’s classroom aides, P.S. Arts and PlanetBravo staff, STEAM lab, and enrichment events are fully funded by the PTA.
SMMUSD provides 0% of the funding for these programs.
We cannot continue to provide these programs without your support. Donate to our direct drive today!
Join the PTA for just $15. Membership fees support both the national and state PTAs, which actively lobby on behalf of public education, and operational fees for Webster’s PTA.
PTA membership grants you a voice in determining which programs and enrichment opportunities are offered to your student. Members are invited to attend our four yearly meetings and cast their vote on how to allocate our budget to best support our teachers and students. Over the past three years, the PTA has shifted more support towards STEAM – funding the creation of our STEAM lab, science nights, and animal assemblies – based on membership support.
Joining the PTA does not require you to volunteer on a committee or the executive board, but we encourage all of our families to volunteer! Click the button below to meet the current members of our PTA and to view volunteer opportunities.
